Located on the outskirts of Caldas da Rainha, Casa do Bosque is a single-family home developed with a contemporary architectural style that prioritizes integration with the surrounding landscape. The design is based on a simple and elegant volumetry, where large glazed surfaces maximize the entry of natural light and promote a direct relationship between interior and exterior.
The swimming pool and outdoor leisure area emerge as a natural extension of the house, reinforcing its welcoming and functional character, designed for moments of conviviality and tranquility with family. The careful choice of materials and the sobriety of the lines give the house a contemporary and timeless identity.
The project takes advantage of the slight slope of the land, adapting to the topography and allowing for a fluid layout that values the view and sun exposure. The material language is based on a palette of light and neutral tones, where the soft beige plaster and glazed surfaces articulate continuously, allowing natural light and the landscape to define the interior environment. The reflections in the pool water and the play of shadows cast by the volumes reinforce the feeling of lightness and serenity, translating into an architecture of balance and harmony between form, matter, light, and terrain.
